Amongst the Ex Flameproof and Ex Intrinsically Safe Equipment, is the newly launched YODALEX range of explosion-proof audible and visual alarms. These meet UL Standards and European Standards with EEx.d.IIB+H2.T6 and EEx.d.IIB.T6 Classification as well as compliance with PFFER regulations. It features a LM6 cast aluminium enclosure with a toughened glass dome and a flame-retardant polycarbonate lens offered in a choice of 7 colours. Furthermore, the ABS horn is flame-retardant and a lens guard is provided as standard. IP66 NEMA 4X Rated, YODALEX produces an omni-directional high output sound of 110dB at 1metre and incorporates 32 user selectable tones. Both a.c. and d.c. versions are available.

For Process Control requirements, the company offers YODALARM and YODALIGHT sounder/strobes which offer 32 tone options, a two-stage alarm for both d.c. and a.c. supplies and a choice of lens colours. In addition, 3-wire polarised or 2-wire bi-polar d.c. second stage control is available on all types whilst YO3/4/5/8 models permit 3-wire a.c. second stage control.

Highly reliable and widely used in the nuclear industry, the D2600 range comprises D2600 - a standard relay with up to 6 normally open or normally closed contacts or 4 changeover contact sets or a combination of these. Also included within the Series is D2600/LES which incorporates latching with electrical reset; D2600/LM with manual reset; D5455/B7 featuring a delayed operation timing unit for use from 1s to 64min. with LED indication; D2600/B - a d.c. switching relay with magnetic arc quench facilities, and finally D2600/FG with flag indication of operational status. Many special relays are available including extended operate/release time devices, models with mixed contact and material configurations and versions incorporating transient protection. Contact materials include silver, silver cadmium oxide and palladium copper.

The standard range features 45ms as a maximum time for energisation and a maximum of 35ms to de-energise. The relays and sockets are voltage-proof tested at 2kV RMS, 50Hz and operate within a temperature range of -20°C to +55°C at 90% RH. Strictly controlled manufacturing techniques ensure high reliability and a minimum mechanical life of 6 x 106 operations (standard D2600 relay) and 2 x 106 operations for the D2600L range. The covers are manufactured from flame-retardent UV-stable polycarbonate.

To protect circuit integrity, the entire range with associated sockets can be fitted with 'fouling pins' to prevent relays being inserted into incorrect sockets. A total of 168 variants can be achieved. In addition, sockets can be provided with either front or rear screw terminals or rear solder terminals.

Designed to complement the D2600 range is a smaller variant, designated D2900, which is available with up to 4 normally open or 4 normally closed contact sets.
